Synonyms: CSIF
Accession: P22301-1
Description:IL-10, also known as cytokine synthesis inhibitor (CSIF), is an anti-inflammatory cytokine. IL-10 is produced primarily by monocytes, but also secreted by T cells, macrophages, mast cells, and other cell lines. IL-10 can inhibit the secretion of cytokines such as IFN-γ, IL-2, IL-3, TNF and GM-CSF, which plays an important role in the fight against human transitional immunity. In addition, IL-10 may play a role in the clinical inhibition of organ transplantation rejection due to its immunosuppressive properties.
Source: HEK293 cells-derived human IL-10 protein, Ser19-Asn178, with C-terminal His tag.
Purity: ≥90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: < 1 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Predicted N terminal: Met.
Molecular Mass: The recombinant human IL-10 consists of 166 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 19.79 kDa. And it migrates as 20-22 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
Formulation: Supplied as sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
SDS-PAGE:
The ED50 as determined by a cell proliferation assay using murine MC/9 cells is less than 0.1 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity of > 1.0 × 107 IU/mg. Fully biologically active when compared to standard.
Handling: Centrifuge vial prior to opening.
Do not vortex after reconstitution.
Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitution: Initially reconstitute in water to 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Store at 2℃ to 8℃ for up to 1 week or prepare for extended storage.
Extended Storage: After initial reconstitution, further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein or stabilizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA). Store working aliquots at -20℃ to 80℃.
